It’s almost winter isn’t it? The perfect time for me to pull out some of the farmer’s blackberries that I froze back in the summer, to remind me of all that I miss about summer.
Recipe adapted Food & Wine, a drink called the “Agave Negro Cocktail” from Social Hollywood in LA.
Ingredients: 3 blackberries (thawed if frozen), tequila, 1 fresh lime, simple syrup, Chambord, club soda.
Place the blackberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker, then pour in 1 Tablespoon of simple syrup. Add the juice of half a lime (about 3/4 ounce). Muddle till the blackberries are smashed.
Fill the shaker with ice, then pour in 1.5 ounces of tequila.
Add 1/2 ounce Chambord, then shake vigorously. Strain into an ice-filled cocktail glass. Pretend you’re at the pool instead of wearing sweatpants.

Hey there! We’ve actually been in the process of moving… to San Francisco!! So there wasn’t much cooking while all the pots and pans were packed away. I have a few blog posts saved up though and I keep meaning to get something fresh posted… I haven’t quit AHB, just haven’t had a minute to write. I’ll get back on the wagon soon!

Oh good! Haha….it’s funny how we get in a routine of doing things. I go on to check the updates every other day or so….and I was getting worried something may have happened to you. Congrats on moving! I’m sure that will open up a whole new set of food experiences!
